EzMaze Writeup

Before we start you need to download the file from here : File .

It’s a Machine learning file, let’s start by analysing the file in the colab and try to extract the maze from it. I wanna thank my teammate Yassine Belkhadem AKA f1r3cr4cker5 for helping out with the extraction process.

We need to import torch and numpy module to work with :

Then we start printing the model paramaters and noticing the odd weights. Weights are usually floats and take too much random numbers but for our case it’s clearly they are set to specific numbers, also the layers has size(0,0) that means they take no input and have no output. This model is not for use for sure.

Now, once we got the maze we need to search for the shoretest path from (1,0) to (40, 41) and try to track down the steps that we are making thought the way, I have just written a simple BFS . It’s a method for exploring a tree or graph. In a BFS, you first explore all the nodes one step away, then all the nodes two steps away, etc.

Breadth-first search is like throwing a stone in the center of a pond. The nodes you explore “ripple out” from the starting point.
